This is one of my drawing homework for AP Art, which is due in 3 days. It said we needed one piece depicting a natural object or scene, so I did cardinals at the birdfeeder. The reds came out a little too dark through the scanner, they're much brighter on paper.

absolutely beautiful! I love Cardinals, they're my 2nd favorite non-raptorous bird (blue jays come first)

Absolutely magnificent drawing. Gorgeous mood - owing to the neatly chosen contrasting rich and cold colour tones, excellent technique - right shading, precise work on all the details of fur, wood and snow. The strongly grainy texture of snow makes it look extremely natural. Generally marvellously realistic and very moody (that old tale's atmosphere !). Of course :+fav:.

PS. I suggested it as a Daily Deviation ^^. I just had to ^^.
